Butterflies, moths and caterpillars.

Over the past few weeks there has been a lot of butterflies, moths and caterpillars about. These species are so important because they react very quickly to changes in their environment which makes them excellent biodiversity indicators and their declines are an early warning for other wildlife losses. To help access how butterflies and day flying moths are doing across the UK you can join in with the big butterfly count. The Wolseley Centre.

Last week, I visited the Staffordshire wildlife trust headquarters, The Wolseley Centre which is local to where I live. It was a lovely day and there was lots of wildlife around including a terrapin, dragonflies and lots of different butterflies. Here are some photographs I took, I hope you enjoy.
